Tides of Blue
Large curved ribbons suspended from the ceiling created rhythm within the space, mirroring the circular catwalk beneath. Featuring a metallic textured design, the ribbons were inspired by lace and appeared to be embossed as if they had been embroidered. Above the kosha swirling ribbons were anchored to the stage with poles. This visual effect simultaneously seemed to ‘lift’ the ceiling to fill the vast space while also drawing the eye to the main stage.
Wavy marble-patterned dark blue walls added richness and texture to the lace ceiling installation, creating a stunning blend of colour and sense of movement. The overall combination of angles and textures within the space resulted in a visually striking interplay which was perceived differently from every viewpoint.
