Saudi Gala Dinner Summer Olympics 2024
During the Paris Olympic Games 2024, Designlab Experience hosted a dinner gala reception celebrating Saudi culture at the Pavillon Dauphine Saint Clair, with 300 guests in attendance. The event provided an opportunity for the Saudi minister to welcome his esteemed guests and showcase the spirit of Saudi hospitality.
In infusing the essence of Saudi culture into the iconic Parisian venue, the design team incorporated elements such as intricate textile patterns, thoughtfully designed centerpieces, and accents of the national green color.
Upon entering the outdoor space, guests were greeted with refreshing mocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and live music performed by Saudi artists. To further immerse attendees in Saudi craftsmanship, they were invited to engage with a calligrapher who created personalized bookmarks in Arabic reed calligraphy, a palm reader, and traditional palm weaver crafting bespoke keepsakes.
Inside the dining area, a blend of long and circular tables were adorned with decor inspired by Saudi aesthetics. The color palette featured various shades of green and neutral tones. A prominent theme of the evening revolved around the camel race, the Saudi sport that is increasingly gaining international popularity. Authentic artisanal accents such as chair sleeves, napkins, and other decor pieces were integrated into the elegant setting. The centerpieces comprised silver bowls containing aromatic spices such as cinnamon, black lemon, and cardamom mixed with flowers and glass candelabras. The immersive cultural experience was further enriched by incorporating traditional Saudi patterns in the uniform vests worn by the serving staff.
