Private Gala Dinner
Designlab Experience transformed a historic reception hall by combining the space’s original features with contemporary elements inspired by Jeddah’s architecture. The event included a seated dinner and live entertainment, such as traditional regional dancers and a medley of curated songs and anthems.
The Designlab Experience team converted a traditional event space into a luxurious contemporary setting, integrating existing antique features like chandeliers and gold accented moldings with modern decor and a soft color palette of blue, green, and neutral brown hues.
The 1,845 square meter dining area walls were artistically revamped with pixelized blue panels featuring a digitally printed octagon design. Suspended in front of the blue walls, octagon-shaped laser-cut wood panels provided an additional layer that mimicked the extruded Rawashin found in Jeddah’s Al Balad. These shapes generated a play of light and shadows, whose intricately patterned structures were inspired from the windows and external openings of the buildings in Jeddah's Old City.
Lush green trees were incorporated as centerpieces in some of the circular dining tables, infusing the space with an outdoor aesthetic enhanced through the blue-hued carpet, tablecloths, and taupe-colored chairs. The opulent chandeliers were balanced by periphery lights and track lighting in the middle of the dining room, casting a soft, warm glow.
Modern furnishings with blue and green accessories were stylishly arranged in the outdoor and indoor lounges. The pre-function lounge featured digitally printed octagon patterns with multifaceted etchings on the brown walls, a reference to the walls of Jeddah.
